Why Hire A doula?
The evidence is clear, having a doula present during birth not only provides physical and emotional support for you and your partner, but doula's also provide physical comfort through techniques such as touch and massage and assistance with breathing. Emotional reassurance, comfort and encouragement. Information about what's happening during labor and the postpartum period, including explanations of procedures. Help with facilitating communication between you and the hospital staff. Guidance and support for loved ones, and assistance with breast/chest feeding.
Birth Doula
Pregnancy, Labor, & Delivery
  • Three, one hour prenatal visits to discuss your birth plan, practice comfort techniques, and get access to other resources you might need.
  • On call support two weeks before your due date, and two weeks after if your baby decides to take a little longer than expected.
  • Emotional and physical support for the duration of your labor, during delivery, and two hours of support immediately following delivery to help with breastfeeding, and recovery.
Postpartum Doula
Early Postpartum & Breastfeeding Support
  • Support for 4 hour shifts during early postpartum up to 12 weeks.
  • Help with cooking and nutrition, infant care, pet care, house cleaning, and running errands.
  • Access to postpartum resources such as mental health professionals, lactation consultants, infant sleep therapists, pelvic floor physical therapists, and other postpartum resources.
